Our History

Organizational History

Churchill Park was founded in 1970 as a non-profit, charitable organization. The first centre opened in response to the needs of students attending Bow Valley College. The program offered supported childcare services for families with special needs and services for deaf and hard-of-hearing families.

Today, Churchill Park remains responsive to the needs of the community. We are a fully licensed and accredited organization which proudly serves over 600 children and families in Calgary. We care for children from young infants to school age.

Our programs include community-, corporate- and school-based child care centres plus several dozen family day homes and Calgary’s first infant care program, Baby Works.

Churchill Park is governed by a skilled and committed volunteer Board of Directors and currently employs approximately 140 dedicated and passionate child care providers.
